Yoshihara & Coleman Double as Bentley Improves to 3-0, 193-101 over Saint Rose

TROY, N.Y. – Freshman backstroker Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) and senior diver Greg Coleman (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North HS) both doubled as Bentley University improved to 3-0 with a 193-101 win over The College of Saint Rose in men's college swimming at RPI Sunday afternoon.

Yoshihara continued his strong of strong performances as he was victorious in both the 100 back (54.59) and the 200 (1:59.98). Coleman captured both diving events with scores of 205.77 from the one-meter and 225.22 from the three-meter.  Saint Rose was not represented in the diving, and as a result, the Falcons outscored the Golden Knights 32-0 off the boards.

Yoshihara was also part of the Falcons' winning 400 yard free relay that finished in a Northeast-10 Conference season-best time of 3:16.18. That quartet also included freshman Alper Alkaya (Milan, Italy), junior Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) and senior Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/Lubbock HS).

Bentley captured four of the five freestyle events with the winners being senior Liam Bartlett (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham HS) in the 50 (22.56), junior Aidan Karam (Norwich, Conn./ Norwich Free Academy) in the 100 (49.02), sophomore Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS) in the 500 (4:59.43) and freshman Dan Sausto (Slingerlands, N.Y./Doane Stuart School) in the 1,000 (10:18.99).

The other first for the Falcons was turned in by sophomore Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./ Bergen County Academies) in the 200 butterfly (2:01.27).

Bentley will look to improve to 4-0 Friday when it takes on Roger Williams University down in Rhode Island (5 pm).
