12 Bentley Swimmers & Divers Cited by Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. – A dozen members of the Bentley University swimming and diving teams, including senior divers Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) and Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS), were recognized by the Northeast-10 Conference Monday with weekly honors.

Bridge was the choice as NE-10 Men's Diving Athlete of the Week for the eighth time this season and Mancini received NE-10 Women's Diving Athlete of the Week for the seventh time.

The conference's Rookie of the Weeks were freshmen Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./ Bergen Catholic HS) and Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS). McGeary previously received the honor twice during the first semester portion of the schedule and Kaduboski was also the Rookie of the Week Jan. 11.

Bentley also had both Relay Teams of the Week following wins over Bridgewater State in the teams' only meet. On the men's side, the 400 medley team of McGeary, freshman Dima Stselmakh (North Reading/North Reading HS) and juniors Colin McCarthy (Glastonbury, Conn./Northwest Catholic HS) and Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/Lubbock HS) were recognized for their winning time of 3:49.10.

The women's 200 free relay team, which finished in 1:35.70, included senior Lindsey Goodwin (Staten Island, N.Y./Notre Dame Academy), freshman Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) and sophomores Jess Chen (Darien, Conn./Darien HS) and Makaila Williams (Hyde Park/Academy of the Pacific Rim).

Lastly, senior Timothy Connolly (Dorchester/Boston Latin Academy) was chosen for the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll.

Bridge completed his dual career by capturing both diving events in a 152-125 win with scores of 279.80 from the one-meter board and a 308.50 from the three-meter. Mancini , a three-time All-America, swept the women's diving, putting up a 294.15 from the one-meter board and 310.70 from the three-meter.  Bridge has received a total of 19 weekly awards and Mancini's amazing total is 23.

Kaduboski, whose older sister Anne is a former Bentley All-America, finished first in both the 200 yard individual medley (2:17.81) and the 200 freestyle (2:03.85). She was also part of a Falcon 400 medley relay team that finished second in 4:31.58. McGeary, in addition to swimming the relay, recorded wins in both the 1000 freestyle (10:30.36) and the 200 breaststroke (2:22.90).

Connolly posted a win in the 200 backstroke (2:05.35) and was part of Bentley's 400 medley relay that finished second in 3:50.79. His opening leg of 56.66 in the 100 back was the  best in the NE-10 during the week.

Bentley will be at WPI Thursday through Sunday for the Northeast-10 Championships.
