WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University freshman Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) has been named the Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference after making his collegiate debut Saturday at MIT's Batterman Relays.

In the non-scoring meet, Vukas helped the Falcons finish third in the 400 free relay (3:24.49), fourth in the 400 medley 4x100 IM (3:55.93) and seventh in the 200 free relay (1:31.67). He swam the fastest leg in the 200 free and the second fastest in the other two.

Last year, Vukas was a team captain for both the Randolph High and the RANY Sharks Y swim teams.

Bentley opens its dual schedule Wednesday night with a home meet against WPI.
