Bentley Men’s Swimming & Diving Claims Three NE-10 Weekly Awards

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior George Go (Manila, Phillipines) has been named the Northeast-10 Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week and two of his freshmen teammates were also recognized by the conference following wins over both Gordon College and Brandeis University.

Sebastian Bury (Bellevue, Wash./Newport Senior HS) was named the NE-10 Men's Rookie of the Week, and Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) was the selection for NE-10 Men's Diving Athlete of the Week.

In a 149-103 win at Brandeis, Go recorded winning efforts in both the 100 yard backstroke (56.52) and the 100 butterfly (54.74), and helped the Falcons capture the 400 medley relay in 3:52.16. He didn't swim in the meet against Gordon.

Bury had two individual wins and two relay victories while swimming a total of six events in the two meets. Against Gordon, he had a winning time of 27.58 seconds in the 50 back, was a member of the Falcons' winning 200 free relay team and had a fourth-place finish in the 400 medley relay (1:53.15). At Brandeis, he was first in the 200 free (1:50.73), the runner-up in the 100 free (49.91) and was also part of the 400 medley relay team.

Competing without competition against Brandeis, Bridge posted scores of 240.80 on the one-meter and 203.65 on the three.

The undefeated Falcons will look for their fourth win of the season when they host UMass-Dartmouth Saturday.
