Go, Walsh Help Bentley Top Le Moyne, 161-119

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Mike Walsh (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay HS) and junior George Go (Manila, Philippines) each won two events as Bentley University bested Le Moyne College, 161-119, in men's college swimming Saturday afternoon at the Ryan Pool in the Henninger Athletic Complex. It was the Falcons' opening dual meet of the season.

Go reached the finish first in both the 200 yard butterfly (2:07.35) and the 100 fly (54.51 seconds), and Walsh, competing without opposition, took both one-meter diving events, with scores of 169.60 and 241.95.

Bentley's other individual winners were freshman Josh Witty (Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos HS) in the 100 backstroke (57.92), sophomore Phillip Chan (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier HS) in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.28) and sophomore Steve Sylvia (Westerly, R.I./Westerly HS) in the 50 freestyle (22.47).

Bentley completed the meet by capturing the 200 free relay in 1:29.55. That quartet consisted of senior Peter Argiros (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead HS), junior Ben Demeule (Fall River, Mass./ Durfee HS), sophomore Chris Woods (Westfield, Mass./Westfield HS) and freshman Perry Zang (Lexington, Mass./Lexington HS).

Bentley swims again on Nov. 9 in the home opener against Gordon College.
