Five Bentley Swimmers & Divers Honored by Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Senior Matt Cesaro (Avon, Conn./Avon HS) was among five members of the Bentley University swimming and diving teams who were recognized by the Northeast-10 Conference for their performance against Bridgewater State last week.

Cesaro was selected as the NE-10 Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week. The conference's Divers of the Week were both Falcons, senior Emily Travers (Brentwood, N.H./Exeter HS) on the women's side and junior Michael Walsh (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay HS), and freshman Heather Exley (Oceanside, Calif./Vista HS) was a co-recipient of Women's Rookie of the Week honors.

Cesaro, swimming at home for the final time, captured the 200 yard freestyle in 2:00.64, the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.26 and the 100 individual medley in 1:00.93 during a 141-100 victory. He also anchored the Falcons' winning 200 medley relay team that finished in 1:45.28.

Travers received her fourth Diver of the Week honor after finishing first off the one-meter board with a score of 252.74 and second off the three-meter (245.31) in her final dual meet as a collegian.

Walsh posted a meet-best score of 276.17 on the three-meter board and finished second in the one-meter with a 257.85. It was the third time this season he's collected the honor.

Exley was a triple-winner as the Bentley women ran their record to 11-0 with a 138-109 victory. She captured the 1000 freestyle in 11:20.77, the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.30 and the 100 individual medley in 1:07.56.

Senior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) was listed on the conference's Weekly Honor Roll. She posted winning efforts in the 50 backstroke (29.23) and 50 breaststroke (27.62), helped the Falcons win the 200 free relay (1:53.59) and also swam a leg in the 200 medley relay.

Bentley will be at Southern Connecticut State this weekend for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.
