SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Graduate student Evan Levine and junior Luke Hanchar scored goals in a 2-2 draw for the Falcons against American International on the road on Tuesday night.
The goals by Levine and Hanchar came within the first six minutes to give Bentley an early 2-0 lead. Levine's goal was assisted by freshman Michael Cagno and Hanchar's goal was assisted by Michael Haikal.
Levine's goal came from a cross that was sent in from the right wing by Cagno and Levine was quick to bang in a shot from six yards out for the goal.
Hanchar's goal was headed in off a corner kick in the six-yard box that Haikal dangerously sent in from the left corner.
But AIC was able to fight back to tie the score. First a goal by Guihermano Afonso in the 29th minute made it 2-1 then in the second half Christian Amaral netted in the 55th minute to make it 2-2.
Bentley extended its unbeaten streak to three matches and improved to 4-5-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the NE10.
Their next match is on Saturday at home against New Haven.
