Bentley and Saint Michael’s Battle to Scoreless Draw on Senior Night

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley and Saint Michael's battled to a 0-0 draw on Senior Night and both teams came away with one point in the NE10 standings.

The men's soccer program hosted Senior Night under the lights on the football field for the third straight season. Prior to the match, seven student-athletes were honored; Matteo Bonati, Lukas Drahos, Joe Griffin, Caleb Martin, Gabriel Najim, Alex Wood and Christian Zarka.

Bentley had the best scoring chance of either team, which came in the 67th minute. A corner kick by Evan Levine sent into the six-yard box was dangerous and center back Luke Mollenhauer got a touch on it. As it headed towards the open goal it was cleared off the line by a Saint Michael's defender. Johann Fraser had another crack at it but his header went just wide.

Bentley had a 9-7 edge in shots on the night.

Goalkeepers Nick Maldarella and Joe Griffin combined for the clean sheet. Maldarella made three saves in the first half.

Bentley's next match is on Tuesday at 3:00 PM against Franklin Pierce.
