SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Le Moyne's Joe Falcone scored in the 104th minute to give the host Dolphins a 1-0 double overtime victory over the Bentley University men's soccer team on Saturday.
The teams had battled in a scoreless tie through 90 minutes of regulation and the first 10minute overtime period before Falcone struck the winner for Le Moyne 3:55 into the second overtime.
Falcons keeper Markus Foehr (Kailua, Hawaii / Saint Louis School) made five saves for the visitors.
Bentley center backs Nico Ruiz (Zaragoza, Spain) and Hunter Marshall (Harwinton, Conn./Avon Old Farms), plus Jack Aronson (Syracuse, N.Y./Cazenovia) and Chad Meyers (East Northport, N.Y. / Saint Anthony's) each played every minute of the match, while Harrison Bourgeois (Maynard, Mass./Maynard) and Connor Mote (Lisle, Ill./Benet) both clocked over 90 minutes.
Le Moyne improved to 5-2 on the season with the win.
The Falcons' next game is set for Wednesday afternoon at Stonehill.
