Co-Captains Reynolds, Zeiner Named Academic All-Conference for Men’s Soccer
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Matt Reynolds (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin) and Weston Zeiner (North Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) have been named to the Northeast-10 Men's Soccer Academic All-Conference team.
Reynolds is an economics-finance and liberal studies double major who had a 3.64 grade point average in the fall semester. In his first season as the starting goalkeeper, he started every match and went 9-7-2 with five clean sheets.
Zeiner, who has now been named to six different postseason teams, including the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America second team, is an accountancy major with a 3.84 GPA. As a central defender, he started 17 matches and was tied for third on the team in goals (four) and was fifth in points (10).
The two served as co-captains this past season as they helped Bentley to a 9-7-2 record overall, its fourth straight berth in the NE-10 playoffs and a final ranking of 10 in the east region. They're also two of the 15 Bentley student-athletes who were named Academic All-Conference across the seven fall sports, which led the conference.
