WALTHAM, Mass. – With the regular season in the books, the Bentley men's soccer team turns its attention to the postseason and its opponent in Tuesday's Northeast-10 quarterfinal match, Southern New Hampshire. Kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m. at SNHU's Larkin Field.

After last season's run to the NE-10 title game as the three-seed, the Falcons (9-6-2, 7-5-1 NE-10) are seeded seventh this year and are making their fourth straight trip to the NE-10 Tournament, their longest streak since making it eight seasons in a row from 1989-96. The Penmen (15-2, 11-2 NE-10) are the second seed, finished four points behind first place Franklin Pierce and are ranked 14^th in Division II as of Monday. They've won 12 straight matches overall.

Senior forward Eric Ulmer (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) finished the regular season as Bentley's leader in points with 12 (five goals, two assists), despite missing a handful of games with an injury. Freshman Louis Boisvert (South Windsor, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) and Ulmer tied for the team lead in goals, and Boisvert was tied for second in points with senior Matt Solomon (Avon, Conn./Avon Old Farms) (four goals, three assists). Solomon is one of four players to tie for the team lead in assists.

Defensively, Bentley is led by junior co-captain Weston Zeiner (North Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) in the middle. Zeiner also added four goals and two assists. The Falcons team goals against average of 1.30 is fifth best among playoff teams. Senior goalkeeper Matt Reynolds (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin) kept five clean sheets in the regular season and started all 17 matches.

The Penmen scored the most goals in conference play this season (30) and allowed the second fewest (9). Junior Chris Tsonis leads the conference in goals (13) and points (30), and junior Ruben Resendes leads in assists (10). Seniors Joey Kapinos and Jon Mayo have split time in net this season, with Kapinos starting eight matches and Mayo six.

The other first round matchups pit top-seeded Franklin Pierce against eight-seeded Stonehill, third-seeded  UMass-Lowell against sixth-seeded Southern Connecticut and fourth-seeded Le Moyne against fifth-seeded Merrimack. All of these matches will take place on Tuesday as well, with the semifinals on Friday and the championship game on Sunday with the highest remaining seed hosting.
