NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Bentley and Merrimack settled for a scoreless draw Saturday night in Northeast-10 men's soccer action.
120 minutes wasn't enough for the two sides to determine a winner, and as a result, Bentley will go into the final week of the regular season with 22 league points, two behind Le Moyne and UMass-Lowell, who are tied for third with 24. Merrimack is now in sixth place with 19 points.
The Falcons are now unbeaten in their last three matches (2-0-1), and have allowed just two goals in that span. They're now 9-4-2 overall and 7-3-1 in the NE-10. Merrimack is at 8-5-3 and 6-4-1.
Senior goalie Matt Reynolds (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin) made seven saves for Bentley, five in regulation, and he's now 9-4-2 on the season. Sophomore Matthias Drummond needed to make just three saves for Merrimack.
The Falcons will host Franklin Pierce, the No. 2 ranked team in Division II and the NE-10's first place team on Tuesday at 3:30 in a rematch of last season's conference title game.
