Men’s Soccer Gets Back On Track With 2-1 Win At Saint Rose

ALBANY, N.Y. – First half goals by sophomore Cody Osgood (Harvard, Mass./The Bromfield School) and junior Weston Zeiner (North Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) helped the Bentley men's soccer team to a 2-1 Northeast-10 win at Saint Rose Saturday afternoon.

The victory snaps Bentley's two match losing streak and gives them 18 league points with a 6-3 record. The Falcons will go into the second to last week of the season in fifth place, three points behind Le Moyne in the race for a home playoff game. They're now 8-4-1 overall.

Osgood gave Bentley a great start with his second goal of the season in the 24th minute, with junior Matthew Leibowitz (Holliston, Mass./Worcester Academy) getting the assist.

Zeiner doubled the Falcons' lead in the 41st minute with his third goal of the year, deflecting in a corner kick into the low right corner of the net from 12 yards out.

Bentley bottled up Saint Rose's attack through the first 89+ plus minutes, limiting them to just one shot on goal, until substitute Jeff Kozlowski pulled one back for the Golden Knights with just one second left on the clock to make the score 2-1.

The Falcons return home to face Saint Anselm on Wednesday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
