Le Moyne Trips Up Men’s Soccer 2-0

WALTHAM, Mass. – Le Moyne handed the Bentley men's soccer team just its second Northeast-10 and home loss of the season with a 2-0 victory Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half where Le Moyne controlled most of the possession and had the ball in Bentley's half, they broke through the Falcon defense with two goals in the second half.

Both of Le Moyne's goals came from players scoring their first of the season. Junior Vince Scaravillo found the back of the net in the 61st minute off a Bentley deflection, and freshman Alex Lautner scored in the 75th minute with sophomore Zachary MacNabb on the assist.

The Dolphins kept Bentley's offense, still missing several starters, in check, holding them to just eight total shots. Sophomore goalie Matthew Silva was called on to make just two saves for Le Moyne to earn his seventh win of the season.

The Falcons fall to 7-3-1 overall and 5-2 in the NE-10 with the loss, while Le Moyne improves to 7-4-1 and 6-2 in the conference.

Bentley will look to rebound Tuesday night when they visit Southern New Hampshire for a 7:00 p.m. match in Manchester, N.H.
