Bentley Claims #3 Seed in Northeast-10 Tournament

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University men's soccer team has claimed the third seed in the Northeast-10 Tournament which begins on Tuesday afternoon, and will host sixth seeded New Haven in the quarterfinals.

Franklin Pierce won the NE-10 won the regular season title and is thus the number one seed, and will host the eighth seed Merrimack. Southern Connecticut State is the second seed and will receive a visit from the seventh seed Stonehill. Le Moyne, the defending conference tournament champion, is the fourth seed and will host the fifth seed Southern New Hampshire, who won the regular season title in 2008 and 2009.

All four quarterfinal matches take place on Tuesday. The semifinals will be on Friday at the higher seed, with the winner of the #1/#8 game playing the winner of the #4/#5 game, and the winner of the #2/#7 game playing the #3/#6 victor.

The championship game is next Sunday at the highest remaining seed.
