Kahn’s 49th Minute Goal Lifts Bentley over Saint Anselm, 1-0

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Sophomore midfielder Tyler Kahn (Rockville Centre, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) scored a 49th minute goal as the Bentley University men's soccer team took a 1-0 road win over Saint Anselm on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 play.

With an overall record of 10-2-4, the Falcons are guaranteed of their first season with at least 10 wins since 2003. Bentley is now 7-1-4 in the NE-10 and will at worst be in fourth place in the conference heading into the final game of the regular season on Friday afternoon at AIC. They can finish as high as second with a win and some help.

Bentley was outshot 9-5 on the afternoon, but graduate student goalie Mike Nikiforov (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) came up with three saves for his fourth straight shutout. The Falcons have not allowed a goal in more than 474 minutes of game time.

Kahn's goal was his second of the year and sophomore Brennan DaCosta (San Diego, Calif./Westview) had the assist, his team-leading fourth of the year.

Saint Anselm falls to 5-12-1 overall and 4-8-1 in the NE-10 with the loss,.
