Bentley Athletics Garners Seven Northeast-10 Team Academic Awards

Seven Bentley University athletic teams have been presented with Team Academic Excellence Awards by the Northeast-10 Conference for the 2010-11 academic year. The awards honor the teams with the highest grade point average in each of the conference’s sponsored sports.
Crompton to Host Prospect Academy at Bentley Aug. 8-11

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley head men’s soccer coach Gary Crompton will host a college prospect academy for high school players on the Bentley campus from August 8-11. Crompton and his staff will also host clinics for younger players at various locations in the area throughout the summer.

Bentley University soccer players and co-captains Mike Nikiforov (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) and Bill Nussdorfer (Harvard, Mass./Bromfield School) will play in Sunday’s New England Inter-Regional Soccer League All-Star game for the Division II squad. Head coach Gary Crompton has been selected to coach the team.

Graduate student Mike Nikiforov (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) of the Bentley University men’s soccer team has been named the 2010 Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year. Nikiforov and sophomore Weston Zeiner (North Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) were also named first team All-Conference, giving Bentley two, first team All-Conference choices for the first time since 1999.
