Bentley Advances to NE10 Semis with 15-6 Win over Saint Michael’s

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley advanced to the semifinals of the Northeast 10 Championship with a 15-6 victory over Saint Michael's on Saturday night.

The Falcons led from start to finish to eliminate the Purple Knights and set up a semifinal date with top seed Adelphi on Wednesday in Garden City, N.Y.

Three different players had a hat trick. Will Adams, Jayce Lambert and David Gagnon each scored three times and Adams added an assist for a game high four points.

Defensively the Falcons allowed Saint Michael's very little. Goalie Jackson Tinsley made 12 saves against 18 shots faced for a 66.7 save percentage. Alex Parton and Kyle Piersiak each had three caused turnovers.

Cam Bartolomeo won 12-24 faceoffs and had eight ground balls to help Bentley control possession.

The Falcons started fast and led 4-0 after just over three minutes of action. Adams had the first two goals of the game and Lambert and Garrett Witt also scored in the opening run.

It was 6-1 after the first quarter after goals by Gagnon and Eddie Gigliotti in the later stages of the quarter.

The second quarter was even with both teams scoring three goals to make it a 9-4 game at the break.

Bentley allowed just one goal in the third period and boosted its lead with strikes by Lambert, Conor Segreti and Nicholas Thorn-Guillaro.

Gagnon scored twice in the fourth frame for his hat trick and Segreti added a man-up tally.
