Big 4th Quarter Lifts #13 Bentley Past Saint Rose 14-9 in Regular Season Finale

ALBANY, N.Y. – #13 ranked Bentley outscored Saint Rose 8-1 in the 4th quarter on its way to a 14-9 victory in the regular season finale on Tuesday afternoon.

The Falcons have now won five straight games and clinched the 4th seed in the NE10 playoffs. They will host the 5th seed Saint Michael's on Saturday at 7:00 PM in the first round.

Bentley trailed by as much as 8-4 past the midpoint of the 3rd quarter after a 4-0 run by the Golden Knights. But goals by Nick Harvath at 2:48 and Devin Smith with five seconds remaining pulled the Falcons to within 8-6 heading into the final quarter.

Saint Rose responded and scored just nine seconds into the 4th quarter but that was their final goal of the afternoon.

Bentley's rally started with a man-up goal by Eddie Gigliotti at the 12:57 mark, and just 33 seconds later Harvath scored to make it a one goal game.

Will Adams then scored at 9:29 to tie the game 9-9, with Jake Tyska on the assist.

Harvath's fourth goal of the day at 5:35 gave the Falcons a 10-9 lead. They padded the lead with four goals over the final 3:07, courtesy of Smith, Conor Segreti, Adams and Jayce Lambert.

Gigliotti and Harvath both had a game-high four points.

Cam Bartolomeo helped the Falcons control possession by going 14-24 in the faceoff circle with six ground balls. Kyle Piersiak had a game-high seven ground balls, along with two caused turnovers. Tyska had a game-high three caused turnovers.
