SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – #11 ranked Bentley outscored AIC 11-4 in the second half in a 15-9 victory over the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday night.
Garrett Witt led the Falcons attack with four goals and Conor Segreti and Nicholas Thorn-Guillaro each scored three times.
Nick Harvath added two goals for Bentley, which improved to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in NE10 games.
Defensively, Nathan Alviti notched a career-high four caused turnovers and Alex Parton added three.
The Falcons trailed 5-4 at halftime and 7-5 early in the 3rd quarter after a 2-0 Yellow Jackets run. But after a goal by AIC's Callan Dent at the 9:55 mark, Bentley allowed just two goals the rest of the game and proceeded to go on an 8-0 run.
The run started with a goal by Garrett Witt at 8:42 and goals quickly followed by Thorn-Guillaro and Witt as Bentley erased the deficit in just 1:10.
They ended the quarter with another flourish of four goals in the final 3:46, with the tallies coming from Segreti, David Gagnon, Thorn-Guillaro and Segreti again.
The eighth and final goal of the run came 1:02 into the fourth quarter off the stick of Segreti for a 13-7 lead.
Witt and Nick McGovern scored Bentley's final two goals at 7:54 and 2:31.
Jackson Tinsley made eight saves in the cage to earn the win.
