The No. 2 seed, Bentley hosted and defeated the No. 3 seed Adelphi on Wednesday night in the semifinals 7-4. The No. 1 seeded Dolphins defeated the No. 5 seed Saint Anselm 8-4 in the semis.

Bentley comes into the game with a 10-4 overall record and ranked 10th by the USILA. Le Moyne is 15-0 and ranked No. 1 by the USILA. In the NCAA North Region rankings released this week, Bentley was 6th and Le Moyne 1st.

The top six teams in the North and South regions get selected.

These two teams played previously this season on April 11 up in Syracuse, and it was a close one with the Dolphins winning it 12-10. Falcons goalie Jackson Tinsley (Beverly Hills, Mich.) made 12 saves and Nathan Alviti (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) and Luke Jaber (Milton, Mass./BC High) led the attack with three goals and two goals, respectively.

The Falcons are making their 5th all-time appearance in the NE10 finals, but first since 1998. The program has won the NE10 championship three times, in 1995, 1996 and 1998.

Bentley's defense was dominant in Wednesday's win over Adelphi in holding them to a season-low four goals. Offensively they got off to a fast start with three goals in the opening six-plus minutes. Nicholas Thorn-Guillaro (Wilbraham, Mass. / Wilbraham Monson) had two of the goals and Nick McGovern (Bow, N.H./Bishop Guertin) the other.

Jaber scored two goals early in the second quarter as Bentley led 5-0 just past the 10 minute mark. Thorn-Guillaro notched a hat trick with his goal with just one second left in the half.

Bentley then closed the game out in the second half as Tinsley made nine saves.

Saturday's game will be the 6th all-time playoff meeting between Bentley and Le Moyne and the first since 2010.
