Balanced Attack Sees Bentley Top Saint Rose 15-13

WALTHAM, Mass. – Five different players scored at least two goals to lead Bentley to a 15-13 victory over Saint Rose in its first Northeast-10 game of the season.

Sophomore Nathan Alviti (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) led the way with four goals. Junior Conor Segreti (Darnestown, Md./St. John's) had a game-high six points on two goals and four assists.

The Falcons never trailed and had its largest lead of five goals at 10-5 early in the 3rd quarter after a goal by Alviti.

Saint Rose gradually chipped away and it was an 11-10 lead for Bentley at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Bentley scored the scored the first two goals of the 4th quarter off the stick of Garrett Witt (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) at the 10:44 mark and Alviti with a man-up goal at 7:01 for a 13-10 lead.

The Golden Knights again made it a one goal game with consecutive strikes by Eddie Baker and Cam Smith, which made it a 13-12 lead for Bentley with 5:33 remaining.

The teams then traded goals with Bentley's Rawley Scherman (North Oaks, Minn./Centennial) scoring and Saint Rose's Noah Gibson scoring to make it 14-13 Bentley advantage with 3:01 remaining.

Bentley denied St. Rose on its next possession, and a goal by senior Luke Jaber (Milton, Mass./BC High) gave them a 15-13 lead with 1:15 remaining.

Cam Bartolomeo (Meriden, Conn./Xavier) won the ensuing faceoff and Matt Crepeau (Hopedale, Mass./Hopedale) secured the ground ball as Bentley was able to salt away the remaining time.

Falcons goalie Jackson Tinsley (Beverly Hills, Mich.) made 11 saves for the win, with four saves in the 4th quarter.
