No. 16 Bentley Cruises Past Franklin Pierce 16-4

WALTHAM, Mass. – Clay Moseman (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) and Ben Baldasaro (Exeter, N.H./Exeter) both had a game high five points to lead Bentley's attack in a 16-4 victory over Franklin Pierce on Saturday afternoon.

The win improved the 16th ranked Falcons' record to 4-1 overall and 3-0 NE10.

Moseman and Baldasaro each had three goals and two assists. Freshman Luke Jaber (Milton, Mass./BC High) had two goals and two assists.

The defense was anchored by senior goalie Keaton Roarick (Old Saybrook, Conn./Old Saybrook), who made 11 saves, and freshman Alex Parton (Victor, N.Y./Victor) with a game-high four caused turnovers.

As a team the Falcons had 15 caused turnovers and Franklin Pierce had 23 turnovers overall.

In the faceoff circle Cam Bartolomeo (Meriden, Conn./Xavier) and Jake Tyska (Natick, Mass./Wayland) dominated to the tune of 18-23. Bartolomeo was 11-14 and Tyska 7-9.

The Falcons led 5-1 after the first quarter and 10-2 at halftime. Junior Eric Makhatadze (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) closed out the first half with a goal with 21 seconds remaining.

The 3rd quarter was more of the same with a 3-1 edge for Bentley, with the goals from Moseman, Baldasaro and Devin Smith (Maynard, Mass./Concord).

Bentley outscored the Ravens 3-1 again the 4th quarter, with the goals from Baldasaro, Moseman in a man-up situation and Quinn Meissner (Andover, Mass./Austin Prep).

The Falcons will go for their third straight win on Tuesday when they host Assumption at 7:00 PM.
