Baughan, Campbell and Colstad Named Captains for 2021 Bentley Men’s Lacrosse Team

Waltham, Mass. – Seniors Connor Baughan (Foxborough, Mass./Portsmouth Abbey), Kris Campbell (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) and Nick Colstad (Hampton Falls, N.H./Governor's Academy) have been named captains of the 2021 Bentley Men's Lacrosse team, head coach Jim Murphy announced.

"From the day our three, 2021 Captains stepped on the field at Bentley they have had an immediate impact on our program," said Murphy. "They all have different leadership qualities that they bring to the team and the 2021 squad will rely on them to lead the way."

Baughan, a defensive midfielder, was named a second team Preseason All-American by the USILA on Thursday. He was also named a Preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse prior to the 2020 season. He was voted third team All-NE10 and first team All-New England as a sophomore, following the 2019 season.

Campbell is an attacker and had five points from the only three games played of the 2020 season. As a sophomore in 2019, he was third on the team in each of goals (17), assists (11) points (28). As a freshman he was named to the NE10 All-Rookie team in 2018. That summer, he represented Team USA at the World Junior Lacrosse Championships.

Colstad is a defender who has started since his sophomore season. He started 13 games in 2019 and ranked second on the team in caused turnovers (12) and was fourth in ground balls (26). He then started the only three games of 2020 and finished with the most caused turnovers on the team.
