Adler Named USILA/Nike 2nd Team All-American

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University men's lacrosse senior Max Adler (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Northfield Mount Hermon) has added to his list of postseason recognitions by being named a USILA/Nike Division II 2nd team All-American at face-off. It's the second straight season Adler has been chosen as an All-American.

Adler, who was voted a 3rd team All-American as a junior for the 2016 season, had another stellar year in the face-off circle for the Falcons. He becomes the third player in program history to be named an All-American multiple times, joining Dean Hogencamp (1998, 1999, 2000) and Scott Yavarow (2001, 2002).

Adler will finish the 2017 season fourth nationally in face-off winning percentage at 67.9 percent (201-296) and third in ground balls per game at 9.54, with a total of 124 in 13 games. He won better than 70 percent of his draws and had 10 or more ground balls in seven of Bentley's 13 games.

The Florida native has previously been named first team All-Northeast-10 and first team All-New England, both for the second consecutive year. A corporate finance and accounting major with a 3.44 GPA this semester, he was also voted CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 and NEILA All-Academic.

Adler was also recently chosen to play in the USILA/Nike Division I-II North-South game on the North roster. That game takes place this Friday at Chapey Field on the campus of Providence College at 5:30.
