Four Bentley Players Named NE10 All-Conference

WALTHAM, Mass. – Four players from the Bentley men's lacrosse team were named to the 2017 Northeast-10 All-Conference teams, as voted on by the league's head coaches; seniors Max Adler (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Northfield Mt. Hermon) and Eli Morrissey (Rowley, Mass./Governor's Academy), sophomore Sam Hurley (Medfield, Mass./Medfield) and freshman Matt Brooks (Brunswick, Maine/Phillips Exeter).

Adler was voted first team All-Conference as a face-off specialist for the second consecutive season. One of the most dominant players in the NCAA in the face-off circle, Adler is fourth nationally in face-offs won (201) and sixth in win percentage (.679). He is also third nationally in ground balls per game (9.54).

Adler won better than 70 percent of his draws and had 10 or more ground balls in seven of Bentley's 13 games.

Morrissey was named second team All-Conference as a long-stick midfielder, after a breakthrough campaign in his second season in a Bentley uniform. He was second on the team in ground balls (55), only to Adler, while he also tied for third in caused turnovers (11). Morrissey also contributed offensively with eight goals and two assists.

Hurley garnered a second team All-Conference selection as a midfielder. He was third on the team in both goals (23) and points (31), and ranked fourth in assists (8). Hurley had a number of big games, which included a four goal, two assist effort against Southern New Hampshire, four goals against Saint Rose, and a hat trick against Adelphi.

Brooks was chosen to the All-Rookie team. He notched eight goals and four assists on the season, which ranked him sixth on the team in points (12) and fifth in goals. He scored the game-winning goal with 50 seconds left in Bentley's come-from-behind victory over Saint Michael's, and also had goals in game against Adelphi and Pace.
