Bentley Debuts at No. 20 in USILA/Nike Division II Poll

WALTHAM, Mass. – With three straight victories, Bentley University debuted in the USILA/Nike Division II Men's Lacrosse Coaches Poll this week, at No. 20. The team is 3-1 overall, and 2-0 in Northeast-10 games, ahead of Tuesday night's home opener against Southern New Hampshire.

The Falcons are coming off a 9-4 victory over Northeast-10 rival Assumption on Saturday, in a game they led 7-0 at halftime. Senior attacker John Wheeler (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) had three goals and one assist to lead the offense. Bentley also had solid contributions from goalie Ben Bath (Kennebunkport, Maine/Kennebunk) (eight saves) and senior Max Adler (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Northfield Mt. Hermon) (13-16 face-off wins; seven ground balls).

Prior to Saturday's win, the Falcons scored wins over Franklin Pierce (13-5; March 18) and Catawba (11-5; March 8).

Bentley joined six other NE10 teams in the USILA's top-20, led by No. 2 ranked Merrimack and No. 3 ranked Le Moyne. Tuesday's opponent, Southern New Hampshire, is ranked No. 16 this week. The other NE10 teams ranked are Adelphi (No. 6), Pace (No. 10) and Saint Anselm (No. 17).
