Adler Named USILA/NIKE Third Team All-American
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior Max Adler (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Northfield Mt. Hermon) was named to the USILA/Nike Division II All-American third team on Sunday as a specialist.
Adler becomes the men's lacrosse program's eighth different player to earn All-American honors, and the first since Matt Allen and Kevin Gould in 2010.
The Florida native dominated in the face-off circle like few others in the nation this season. Heading into the conclusion of the Division II season today, he is 3rd nationally in face-off winning percentage at .728 (195-268). Adler is also 4th in ground balls per game at 9.15.
It's the third major honor of the postseason for Adler. Previously this month he was named first team All-Conference by the Northeast-10, in addition to first team All-New England by the NEILA.
