WALTHAM, Mass. – With the 2016 men's lacrosse season about six weeks away, the first USILA/Nike Division II Poll of the season was released, and the Bentley Falcons released votes in the initial voting. The team gets its season underway on March 5 at home against New York Tech.

Bentley returns six players that started double-digit games last season. The leading returning scorer is senior Matt Brigham (Portsmouth, R.I./Portsmouth Abbey), who had 19 goals and 7 assists last season.  While goalie Daniel Shaughnessy (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury), who started all 13 games last season, is back as well. Two defensemen, junior Connor Holbrook (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan) and senior Nick Wells (Exeter, N.H./Governor's Academy), who started 13 and 10 games respectively last season, return as well.

Four Northeast-10 teams are ranked in the poll and three others received votes.

For the first time this season, a number of Bentley home games will be broadcast for free on BentleyFalcons.TV.
