Shaughnessy Tabbed Northeast-10 Goalie of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley junior goalie Daniel Shaughnessy (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) was tabbed as the Northeast-10 Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week. Shaughnessy back stopped the Falcons to a pair of wins last week.

Shaughnessy, who has started all ten games in his first season in a Bentley uniform, posted a .600 save percentage as he made 18 saves against 30 shots on goal in games against Southern New Hampshire and Saint Michael's. That gave him an impressive 6.00 goals against average for the week.

He made eight saves in the win over the Penmen on April 7, with four coming in each half. He followed that up with 10 saves against the Purple Knights, the fifth time this season he's had double digit saves.

On the season, his .549 save percentage is 5th in the Northeast-10 among goalies that have started at least nine games and his goals against average of 8.84 is 5th as well among goalies that have made that many starts.

The Falcons enter tomorrow night's game at Merrimack with a 6-4 overall record and a 5-3 Northeast-10 record, which has them in 5th place.
