Holmes Named to Northeast-10 Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Recent Bentley graduate Justin Holmes (Brookfield, Conn./Berkshire School) has been named to the Northeast-10 Men's Lacrosse All-Academic team.

A two-year co-captain, Fields, a defenseman, is making her second straight appearance on the NE-10 Women's Lacrosse All-Academic team. She started 18 of 19 games this past season, and was tied for first on the team in caused turnovers (18) and tied for third in ground balls (28). Her efforts helped Bentley reach the NE-10 semifinals for the first time since 2007 and achieve a ranking of nine in the final IWLCA Division II poll. She majored in economics-finance and had a 3.72 GPA for the year.

Holmes recorded career-highs in games played (11), goals (11) and points (12) in helping the Falcons reach the NE-10 playoffs for the fifth straight year and 11th time in 12 years. He was tied for fourth on the team in goals, with three of his 11 coming against Merrimack in the New England Lacrosse Classic at Gillette Stadium. Holmes, a midfielder, majored in accountancy and had a 3.61 GPA for the academic year.

To qualify for the NE-10 All-Academic teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution.
