Leyh Named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week for Second Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – Ethan Leyh was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, for the second time this season.

Leyh had a hat trick in Bentley's 4-2 win over Army West Point on Friday night. That was his second hat trick of the season, which ties him for the national lead with two other players. His first hat trick was on Dec. 30 against Union.

As a team, the Falcons have four hat tricks this season. The other two were by A.J. Hodges (Nov. 10) and Ryan Mansfield (Jan. 20).

On Friday, Leyh had a goal in each period. He scored the first goal of the game on the power play at 10:23 of the first period. He notched a shorthanded goal in the second period and completed the hat trick late in the third period to seal the victory.

Leyh also had an assist in Saturday's game and impressed in the faceoff circle during the series with a 60.0 percent winning percentage (27-45).

On the season the Anmore, B.C., native leads the team in both goals (11) and points (26) and he's second in assists with 15. He ranks 10th in the AHA in points.

Bentley is back in action this weekend when they visit Canisius.
