WALTHAM, Mass. – Air Force scored four goals in the third period in a 7-3 victory over Bentley on Saturday night in the series finale between the two teams.

Bentley trailed 3-1 after an early Air Force goal in the 2nd period but the Falcons fought back to tie the game. Sophomore Arlo Merritt scored at the 2:05 mark after he finished off a give and go with Ryan Upson.

Seth Bernard-Docker started the puck up the ice with a pass to Merritt along the right boards. Merritt rushed into the offensive zone and passed off to Upson. Upson then fed it back to Merritt for a goal on the short side, his 4th of the season.

It was towards the end of the 2nd period that Bentley got the tying goal off the stick of freshman Kellan Hjartarson at 19:12, on the power play.

Bernard-Docker played in a shot from the blue line that went wide of the net. Nik Armstrong-Kingkade dug out the rebound and slid a pass across to Hjartarson for the goal, his 5th of the season.

The game went into the final period tied 3-3 but last 20 minutes belonged to Air Force.

Mason McCormick scored the go-ahead goal at 4:23 for a 4-3 lead for the visitors. Air Force then scored twice in less than three minutes, first from Brian Adams at 9:52 then by Will Gavin on the power play 12:22.
