Falcons Meet Holy Cross on Friday & Saturday in Home-And-Home Series

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley puts its three-game winning streak on the line on Friday night when they visit Holy Cross in the first game of a home-and-home series. The series shifts to Bentley Arena on Saturday at 4:05 PM.

 

Soaring Falcons

After sweeping Niagara over the weekend, Bentley has now won three games in a row and five in a row at home overall.

The Falcons enter this weekend's games with a 4-2 Atlantic Hockey record for 12 points. That has them in third place, behind first place RIT (17 points) and second place Sacred Heart (16 points).

The five-game home winning streak is the team's longest since the 2018-19 season.

 

Hodges' Hatty

A.J. Hodges netted a hat trick in Friday's 6-2 win over Niagara. The last Falcon to have a hat trick was Danny Pearson on Jan. 13, 2023 at Niagara. The last Falcon to have a hat trick at Bentley Arena was Jonathan Desbiens on Feb. 7, 2020 against Army West Point.

Hodges was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week on Monday. He also notched two assists for five total points against the Purple Eagles.

 

Grabko The Brick Wall

Senior goalie Nicholas Grabko has been tremendous this season. He ranks 4th in the nation in both save percentage (.937) and goals against average (1.60). He's allowed just three goals in his last four starts for a .968 save percentage.

 

Dee-Fense

As a team, the Falcons have allowed more than three goals in just two of 10 games this season. They rank tied for 5th in the nation in fewest goals allowed per game at 2.00.

The penalty kill percentage of 87.0 is 13th nationally and leads Atlantic Hockey.
