Hjartarson and Amici Score but Bentley Falls to No. 19 Northeastern

BOSTON, Mass. – Freshmen Kellan Hjartarson and Kolby Amici scored goals but Bentley fell to No. 19 ranked Northeastern 5-2 at Matthews Arena.

Hjartarson scored 5:01 into the 2nd period for his first NCAA goal. Freshman Jimmy Doyle and defenseman Pat Lawn had the assists. For Doyle that was his first NCAA point.

Amici then scored at the 15:41 mark of the 3rd period for his second goal in as many games to start the season. Matt Thomson and Nick Bochen had the assists.

Falcons goalie Nicholas Grabko made 28 saves.

The Huskies led 2-0 on goals by Liam Walsh at 16:42 of the 1st period and Jack Williams at 58 seconds of the 2nd period.

But Hjartarson cut the deficit in half just over five minutes into the second frame with a shot from the high slot after taking a pass from Doyle on the right.

Amici's goal came after Bochen put a shot on net from the point and Amici was there for the rebound to beat Cameron Whitehead.

Bentley will be back in action on Friday night to host Stonehill.
