Bentley Falls at RIT 4-0 in Series Opener

ROCEHSTER, N.Y. – RIT graduate student Kobe Walker scored a hat trick to lead the Tigers to a 4-0 victory over Bentley on Friday night at the Polisseni Center.

Walker scored once in each period, with an empty net goal with 10 seconds left to finish the scoring.

Shots on the night were close at 34-33 in favor of RIT, but special teams were the difference. The Tigers scored three power play goals and its penalty kill went 6-6.

Walker opened the scoring at 17:02 of the 1st period after he took a cross-ice pass from Cody Laskosky and scored in front of the net.

Shots in the first period were 10-9 in Bentley's favor but Tigers goalie Tommy Scarfone came up with each save.

RIT scored its second power play goal of the night in the latter stages of the 2nd period off the stick Walker, this time scoring in front off a pass from Carter Wilkie.

The teams traded power play opportunities over the first 10 minutes of the 3rd period, but it was RIT that took advantage with a goal by Laskosky on the man-advantage at the 11:09 mark to make it 3-0.

Scarfone finished the game with 33 saves for RIT and Bentley's Connor Hasley (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) made 30 stops.

These teams will play again on Saturday at 5:05 PM and the game can be seen on NESN+
