Bentley Drops Series Finale to Ohio State

WALTHAM, Mass. – Ohio State came away with a series split with Bentley after they won Saturday night's game at Bentley Arena 7-1.

The Falcons won the first game of this series on Friday night 2-1, but the Buckeyes ensured they went back to Ohio with a split with tonight's win.

New Hampshire native Tate Singleton scored two goals for Ohio State. He scored their first goal, at 5:54 of the first period, and added his second at 7:55 of the 3rd.

Defenseman Dominic Vidoli and first line right wing Travis Treloar also added goals in the first period for Ohio State.

Junior Lucas Vanroboys (Thamesville, Ontario) scored for Bentley in the 3rd period, with Cole Kodsi (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Dylan Pitera (Culver, Ind.) on the assists.

Bentley goalies Evan DeBrouwer (Blenheim, Ontario) and Jason Grande (West Chester, Pa.) made 19 and 15 saves, respectively, against 41 shots from Ohio State.

Junior right wing Eric Linell (Great Neck, N.Y.) led Bentley with five shots on the night.

After splitting this weekend's series, Bentley will next be in action on Saturday night when they host Boston College at 6:05 pm.
