Last Time Out: Bentley came up just short in a 4-2 defeat at No. 11 ranked Northeastern on Monday night.

The Falcons battled back twice to tie the game. Northeastern led 1-0 after two periods, but Bentley limited them to just 11 shots through 40 minutes. A goal by Jonathan Desbiens at 1:57 of the 3rd period tied the game 1-1. The Huskies took the lead back less than three minutes later at the 4:42 mark. The Falcons then converted a power play chance as Jakov Novak scored his 12th goal of the season at 8:40 to tie the game 2-2. Northeastern though scored twice inside the two minute mark to prevail 4-2.

Bentley finished the night outshooting NU 28-17.

Things to Know: Desbiens' goal on Monday was the 40th of his career. He now ranks 11th all-time for goals at Bentley in the Division I records. His 86 points is tied for 16th in Division I with Tanner Jago, and he is one point away from breaking into the top-15.

Novak is now T-2nd in Atlantic Hockey in both goals (12) and points (20). He has three goals in the last two games, after he scored twice in the 3-2 win over Sacred Heart on Dec. 29. His 12 goals is T-5th most nationally, and his five power play goals is T-4th most.

This weekend will be the 68th and 69th meetings all-time between Bentley and Canisius.

Bentley won all four games played against Canisius last season, and has won five in a row in the series overall. Last season, Bentley swept in Buffalo by scores of 4-2 and 3-1. Two weekends later Bentley swept in Waltham, by scores of 3-2 in overtime and 6-4.

Senior Ryner Gorowsky has seven points (two goals, five assists) in eight games and Jonathan Desbiens has four goals and one assist in eight games. He scored in overtime of last season's 3-2 win on Feb 8, which was the 10th game of the 12 game unbeaten run.

Up Next: The Falcons are back at home next weekend to host AIC for a 7:05 pm game on Friday the 17th and 4:05 on Saturday the 18th.
