WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University captain and 3^rd all-time leading scorer in its Division I era, Max French has signed an agreement with the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League, the team announced Friday.

The Comets play in the North Division in the AHL, which is the league directly below the NHL. They're affiliated with the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL.

French recently wrapped up a decorated four year career at Bentley. He notched 143 career points, which is 3^rd most in Bentley's Division I era. His 67 career goals are 3^rd most as well, and the 76 assists he tallied are 5^th. French also notched 22 career power play goals, which is tied for 2^nd most, while also seeing a significant amount of time on the penalty kill.

He was named first team All Atlantic Hockey the past two seasons after amassing 39 points as a senior (17 goals, 22 assists) and 47 points (23 goals, 24 assists) as a junior. That points total in 2015-16 was tied for 4^th most by a Bentley player in a single-season, and his per game average of 1.47 ranked 4^th nationally.

In his four years at Bentley, French played in 138 games.
