Pelino Repeats as Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second consecutive week, Bentley freshman Aidan Pelino (Oakville, Ontario/Chilliwack) has been named Atlantic Hockey's Goalie of the Week.

Pelino posted his second shutout in three starts, and made 24 saves in Bentley's 4-0 win over Sacred Heart last Friday night at the JAR. Following that game, Pelino had allowed just one goal over the last 185 minutes. On Saturday, Pelino had a shutout going until the final seconds of the 2nd period. He ended the night with 31 saves and just two goals allowed.

For the weekend, Pelino stopped 55 of 57 shots faced for a .965 save percentage and a 1.01 goals against average. Over the last four games, he has a 2-1-1 record with two shutouts, a .975 save percentage and a miniscule 0.74 GAA.

The Ontario native was named Goalie of the Week on Feb. 14 after shutting out Robert Morris 3-0 on Feb. 10, and making 32 saves in a 1-1 tie the following night.

Bentley will close out the regular season this weekend against Holy Cross at the JAR.
