Gorowsky Tabbed Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week
WALTHAM, Mass. – Forward Ryner Gorowsky (Lino Lakes, Minn./Fairbanks) was named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. Gorowsky was Bentley's co-leading scorer with four points in the team's series at Canisius last weekend.
Gorowsky, who just returned to the ice two weekends ago after missing 7 straight games, had 1 goal and 1 assist in the first game of the series on Friday night. In Saturday's 3-3 tie he had two assists, the primary assist on Kyle Schmidt's goal at 8:12 of the 1st period, and an assist on Max French's goal at 16:33 of the 1st.
Gorowsky has made a quick impact since returning to the ice. He has a team best four-game scoring streak going with two goals and four assists for six points. That total includes an assist in Bentley's 2-1 win over Mercyhurst on Nov. 19, and a goal at Harvard on Nov. 26. His 7 points on the season are tied for 3rd on the team.
Gorowsky is the 2nd Bentley player to earn an Atlantic Hockey weekly award, after sophomore Alexey Solovyev (Moscow, Russia/Lone Star) was named Defenseman of the Week on Oct. 18.
Bentley is back on the ice this weekend to host Robert Morris for a series at the JAR beginning on Friday night.
