Bentley Falls At Quinnipiac 6-1

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Bentley University hockey team suffered a 6-1 setback to Quinnipiac in a non-conference game at the High Point Solutions Arena Tuesday night.

Six different players scored for Quinnipiac, who have won four straight and improve to 5-1 on the season. Bentley is still looking for its first win at 0-4.

After falling behind 1-0 early on Bryce Van Brabant's first goal of the year, sophomore Brett Gensler (St. Charles, Mo./Youngstown Phantoms) tied it for Bentley with his first of the year at 12:18. But with just over two minutes left in the period, Quinnipiac took the lead back on Matthew Peca's power play goal.

Quinnipiac took control in the second period with a pair of goals from Kellen Jones and Zach Tolkinen, on the power play, while keeping Bentley out of the net.

The Falcons have the weekend off, but are back on the ice for their Atlantic Hockey opener next Tuesday at Sacred Heart.
