Bentley Set for Northeast-10 Championships Monday & Tuesday

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University golf team will wrap up the fall portion of the schedule Monday and Tuesday when the Northeast-10 Conference Championships are contested at the Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow.

Golfers will play 36 holes on Monday, with action getting underway at 8 am. Tuesday's final round will start at 9 am. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.

Coach Brian Bain's Falcons are forecast to finish fifth in the ten-team field, according to a pre-championship poll of conference coaches. With 55 total points, Bentley trailed two-time defending champion Assumption (73), Southern New Hampshire (64), Adelphi (61) and Franklin Pierce (60).

The lineup for Bentley will consist of seniors Timothy Picard (Dracut/Lowell Catholic HS) and Jake Napoli (Plantsville, Conn./Southington HS), junior Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Acad.), sophomore Zach Stewart (Pembroke/ Duxbury HS) and freshman Andrew teDuits (Charlestown/Boston College HS).

Stewart has been Bentley's top golfer this season with a 73.0 stroke average and a +1.9 average to par. Picard follows with a 74.0 norm.

Eaton, in ten rounds, and teDuits, the latest NE10 Rookie of the Week, have averages of 75.4 and 75.6, respectively. Napoli, in two tournaments, has registered a 76.4.

Last year, Bentley finished sixth of 11 with Eaton (t-10th, 224) and Picard (t-14th, 227) the top golfers for the Falcons.
