Stewart Ties for 2nd in Penmen Invitational; Bentley Ties for 6th

CONCORD, N.H. – Finishing with a one-over-par 211, Bentley University sophomore Zach Stewart (Duxbury, Mass./Pembroke HS) tied for second in the Southern New Hampshire University-hosted Penmen Invitational at the Concord Country Club Tuesday.

Stewart, who was tied for first after Monday's second round, closed with a four-over 74 and finished three strokes behind medalist Conor Byrne of the University of Hartford.

Bentley's number two finisher was senior Timothy Picard (Dracut, Mass./Lowell Catholic HS), who tied for seventh with a 70-71-75-216.

The Falcons, who had a 293 and a 284 during the first two rounds on Monday, slipped to a 304 over the final round and finished the tournament in a tie for sixth at 881.

Post University took team honors by five strokes over Assumption University, 868-873. A total of 14 teams competed.

Also for Bentley, junior Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Academy) tied for 42nd (77-72-77-226), senior Aidan Stuart (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) tied for 53rd (77-73-81-231) and freshman Andrew teDuits (Charlestown, Mass./Boston College HS) tied for 60th (78-77-78-233).

Bentley's final tournament before the Northeast-10 Championships is the Post University Fall Invitational Oct. 9-10.
