Picard & Stuart Named Bentley Golf Captains

WALTHAM, Mass. – Seniors Timothy Picard (Dracut/Lowell Catholic HS) and Aidan Stuart (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) have been named captains of the 2023-24 Bentley University men's golf team, head coach Brian Bain announced.

"We are really excited for our upcoming season and having both Tim and Aidan lead us as captains," said Bain, who is starting his second season as Bentley's head coach.

Picard was one of Bentley's top four last season and finished with a 76.9 stroke average over the course of 21 rounds. He tied for 14th in the Northeast-10 Championships, shot in the 70s 17 times, and has a career norm of 77.6.

"Tim really grew as a leader last year when he was second on the team in tournament rounds with 21," praised Bain. "He always stays positive and encourages his teammates along the way."

Stuart played seven rounds as a junior and posted a 79.7 stroke average. He has a 78.4 career average and earned second-team All-Northeast-10 honors as a freshman at St. Michael's in 2020-21. That season, he was selected to participate in the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Super Regional as an individual.

"We are encouraged for Aidan to take a more active role in competing this year especially after his most recent tournament round of four-under 67 in the final round of the Gately Cup," said Bain. "Aidan is always the most prepared and is an excellent role model for the younger Falcons.

Bentley will open the season at the University of Hartford Hawks Invitational September 11-12.
