Berg & Huban Bentley’s Top Finishers in AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – Sophomores Bennett Berg (Portland, Maine/Portland HS) and Chris Huban (Cohoes, N.Y./Albany Academy) were the top golfers for Bentley University during the American International Yellow Jacket Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Course.

Berg and Huban each tied for 15th place with an eight-over 148. Each posted a 75 during Monday's action and both followed with a second-round 73.

A stroke back, in a tie for 17th, was junior Timothy Picard (Dracut, Mass./Lowell Catholic HS). He turned in a two-over 72 Tuesday after opening with a 77.

Senior Kevin Lynch (Haddam, Conn./Xavier HS) rounded out Bentley's top four as he tied for 21st with a 76-74-150.

Bentley tied for fifth among ten teams with a 302-294-596. In the team standings, the Falcons trailed Dominican University (294-281-575), Adelphi University (288-288-576), Merrimack College (297-290-587) and Franklin Pierce University (297-292-589).

Medalist honors went to Franklin Pierce's Seth Saffell, who finished one-under with a 70-69-139. He edged Adelphi's Francis Lanuza by one stroke.

The next tournament for Bentley is the Saint Anselm Invitational April 17 and 18.
