HOWARTH, N.J. – The Bentley University golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule Monday with the fourth best score in a 12-team field during day one of the Battle at the Beech at the White Beeches Golf and Country Club.

Bentley, ranked seventh in the NCAA Division II East Region, turned in a 321 and will begin Tuesday's action behind Post University (307), Franklin Pierce (313) and American International (317).

Bentley was led by senior Ryan Daly (Beverly, Mass./Beverly HS) and junior Jared Walter (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS), each of whom are tied for eighth place in a field of 67 with a six-over 78.

Next for the Falcons was freshman Bennett Berg (Portland, Maine/Portland HS), with an 82, good for a tie for 28^th.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with the Falcons teeing off from 11:24 am-noon.
