Bentley Finishes 9th in Rain-Shortened Le Moyne Fall Invitational

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Bentley University finished day one of the Le Moyne Fall Invitational golf tournament Friday in ninth place among a field of 16 at the Bellevue Country Club. Saturday's scheduled second round was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Falcons had a team score of 315 and finished 19 strokes back of first-place Assumption University. The Greyhounds turned in a 296 and had a winning margin of three strokes over both Le Moyne College and Post University.

Bentley's top individual was sophomore Aidan Stuart (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) with his 78 putting him in a tie for 35th among the 88 players.

Also in the top half of the field for the Falcons were grad student Tom Egbers (Bloomington, Ill./Central Catholic HS) and freshmen Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS) and Bennett Berg (Portland, Maine/Portland HS). All three posted a 79 and finished the day tied for 43rd.

Southern New Hampshire's AJ Cavotta was the only player to break par with his one-under 70 giving him a two-stroke advantage on both Jack Moy (Assumption) and Tyler Birdd (Le Moyne).

This was the final action of the fall season for the Falcons.
