Meyers Named Northeast-10 Men’s Golfer of the Week for the Third Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second time this month and the third time this academic year, Bentley University junior Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS) has been named the Men's Golfer of the Year in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Meyers tied for first at Colgate's Robert Trent Jones Individual Shootout (74-72-146) last weekend before losing medalist honors in a playoff. Earlier in the week, he finished second in the Bentley Newport National Classic with a one-over 73. Combined, that's a 73.0 stroke average with 36 pars and eight birdies.

For the season, the CoSIDA Academic All-America nominee has a team-leading 75.4 stroke average, an improvement of 1.1 over the 76.5 he achieved as a sophomore.

Meyers was previously honored as Golfer of the Week on April 4 as well as back in September.
