MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – Junior Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS) was the top finisher for the Bentley University golf team during the 54-hole North Alabama Division II Spring Preview that concluded Tuesday at the Robert Trent Jones Fighting Joe Course.

Meyers tied for 44th overall after turning in a 72-75-79-226 in the Falcons' first three-round tournament of the season.

Next up for Bentley was sophomore Chris Ehl (Reading, Mass./Reading HS), who finished 77th with an 82-77-78-237.

As a team, Bentley finished 17th among 18 teams with a score of 317-308-321. It was a strong field with five of the teams ranked in the top 25 nationally.

Lee University had an outstanding tournament to capture team honors by 14 strokes. Lee's 854 was ten-under par with the host team, North Alabama, following with an 868.

Individually, Lee's Shea Sylvester posted three straight 69's to finish nine under par. Limestone's Flip Sandberg followed, three strokes back, after a final round 65.

Bentley will return to action Apr. 9-10 with a tournament at Penn Oaks Golf Course in West Chester, Pa.
